How does London Feeding Therapy work with the client and the therapist?

The professional (i.e. therapist) will need to obtain written consent from the client to discuss individual feeding problems.

General strategies for setting up mealtime routines and increasing positive eating behaviours can be discussed as educational support and development for professionals.

 

Can you provide in person support?

In general, support is provided via video conference. On occasion, a video conference during your session with the client may be required. Please contact us to discuss further.

Who pays for the specialist support?

Funding may come from:

  • professional development fund
  • supervision fund
  • local authority – if feeding is detailed in EHCP funding
  • private healthcare insurance of the client

The professional contacting London Feeding Therapy is responsible for sourcing funds to pay for the service.
